D'Shaw Institute of Cosmetology will be hosting a charity event to benefit City Light Home for Women and Children. We would like to invite you to attend the “Roll Out the Red Carpet Hair Show”. The event will be held Friday, November 4th at 7pm at D’Shaw Institute 3419 N. Cole Rd. Boise, Idaho. Admission is $5 and/or a donation of food/diapers/toiletries/etc, to be donated to City Light.

Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art school is the world's premier alt.drawing movement. Artists draw glamorous underground performers in an atmosphere of boozy conviviality. Found in 2005 in a dive bar in Brooklyn, Dr. Sketchy's has now spread to over 100 cities around the world.

Dr. Sketchy's finally branched to Boise, bringing live modeling to the public without the university price. Artists (or aspiring ones) have the opportunity to draw alternative performers in the hip VaC atmosphere while enjoying booze and general awesomeness.

BurlyCon is the Burlesque community's educational and social convention. It is a chance to discuss our collective passions and concerns. It is an opportunity to talk to each other, learn from each other, and play together!

Hot Mess Burlesque attended BurlyCon 2011 from OCT 20-23 in Seattle. There were over 40 presenters, 100 workshops and 4 full days of programming providing the richest Burlesque educational offerings in the world.
